Family is undoubtedly one of the most important components of human life. But often we strive to idealize this concept, making visible only the “front side” of the family portrait. The exhibition presents personal projects of young authors addressing the topic of family and affecting its various aspects. Stories about love, acceptance and forgiveness. About the connection of generations and the search for oneself. About memory and oblivion. About pain, trauma and loss. About violence. Many of the authors in their projects show the “reverse side” of the family portrait, which is not accepted to talk about. But at the same time, all the stories come together in a voluminous and multi-layered statement about the family, sincere and not leaving anyone indifferent.
